Writing Down Stats Here we see one of the volunteers helping out by recording data about the bat being “looked over” by the researcher from the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department.
After being banded a bat’s sex and weight are recorded. If a bat is female a note is also made if she is pregnant or not. Small amounts of hair were also cut from some of the bats as part of a special research study being done by a member of the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department. |
