Hair Cut This little brown bat is getting a small amount of hair cut off by a Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department researcher. The hair will be used as part of a special research study.
The study is using hair samples from mammals in the wild to determine if chemicals found in local water supplies are having any long term impact on local wildlife. By running tests of the hair researchers are hoping to tell what water sources an animal frequents, thus determining its migration path. |
