Bat House from a Distance Here we see the house from across the lawn. From this distance the house almost seems small even though it is six feet across. It blends in very well with the surroundings. Many visitors to the Shelburne House don't even notice that it is there. On the other side of the trees is beautiful Lake Champlain.
