A Subdivision Project A residential subdivision in Georgia, Vermont decided that they wanted to install some bat houses around their subdivision. They hoped a proper bat house would attract bats to help control their bug population. After surveying the subdivision, an appropriate location was selected. Before doing the instillation Chiroptera Cabin Company did an educational program for the families in the community to answer questions they had about the neighbors they were about to invite to live in their neighborhood. On a Sunday in early May 2001 members of the community turned out to assist the Chiroptera Cabin Company Team in installing their new bat house. The bat house is situated in a large field and is free from obstructions that might block the bats' egress.
