Description: This four (4) chamber Vented Economy Nursery Condo has the same design as our Cedar Nursery Condo (model CNCV4). It is designed to provide plenty of space for a colony of child-rearing females and their pups. It is functional for the bat inhabitants while constructed from more economical materials. It is ideal for locations where appearance is not an important factor, such as on a pole out in your yard. This model is available in a vented or unvented style. The vented design provides a cooler area near the bottom of the front and back roosting chamber where the bats can hang out on hotter days. The unvented style has no vents and is suited for the cooler climates of North America. Each house is constructed of rugged exterior plywood for the back and front, and pine for the sides and shingled roof. Every joint on the front, sides, back, and roof is caulked to prevent leaks or drafts. Corrosion resistant screws are used to fasten everything together. A large landing area makes departures and landing easy for the bats. Each house has two coats of top quality exterior latex stain.
